Disappearing for a while

FB has a couple of days off, and since we've been home bound thus far this Summer we are taking a little jaunt up the road to Savannah and surrounds.

Anyone got any places we must see? No fun parks or the like, but some of the historical stuff ... and things that won't bore the crap out of a 7 year old ie. things that blow up, or once blew up :). Anyone got any good local eateries that are a don't miss?

The camera batteries are charging, of course. I'm not going to such a historical area as Savannah sans camera -- I just have to remember to pack the other lens. I'm going to have fun with my 50mm though, I haven't had a chance to use it for artistic purposes yet, so old buildings here I come!
