Yesterday was a big day

Yesterday was a big day.

One of the most important in the last 6 years for me.

It took waiting for 2.5 hrs at the Social Security Office, but in 7-14 days I will have a SSN. I will legally be able to work in the USA.

Hoo-fucking-ray! *air punch* quickly followed by 'Oh shit, now what do I do?'

No more excuses, I can go get a job now. Pity I'm not much qualified for doing much more than being one of the folks standing at the front of the store saying 'welcome to Walmart'.

Anyone got any suggestions for a Dispensing Optician who's qual's not valid in the USA/erotic romance author/budding graphic artist/can-turn-her-hand-to-most-things woman?

I guess I should just get off my ass and write faster, huh. I wouldn't make a bad living if I had a new release every month/two months.

Congrats!!

Now, go write more, yeah. I like that idea MUCH more than the thought of you in Wal-mart. *shudder*
