A new sideline

A while back I made the comment that Rhian was attempting to make a graphic artist out of me. Well, further to that I offered my services to Amanda Young when she was looking to have some banners made, and I have to say they turned out pretty damn nice if I do say so myself!

So, I've decided on a new little sideline designing banners and online ads. You can check out my rates and some examples here.

Don't be afraid, the costs aren't outrageous :)

Counting down, and a giveway. . .

ad_teaforthree_coversm.jpgFinal proofreader edits went back early this morning (in ePublishing deadlines tend to be a lot closer to publication than in print), so I can put the cap back on the Tums and party like it's my Birthday ... oh, wait! It is! Well, on Friday that is. I'll be the ripe old age of 34.

So in honor of my birthday I'm giving away Tea for Three mouse pad and some goodies of the chocolaty persuasion. Perfect for sitting down and reading your favorite eBooks with!

Email me, using the address in my profile, with the names of the names of the three lead characters of Tea for Three (hint: you don't have to look far, or hit my main website) by Sunday 27th May, midday, and my 7yr old will scientifically choose a winner from the entrants.

Oh YUM!

How's this for a yum, yum, bubble gum cover!

Dark haired Wren, the well cut outdoors man Jack, and the nicely built, but a little more fleshy Craig in the foreground...mmm mm m!

Frauke of Croco Designs is the party responsible for this eye candy - she even used a New Zealand pastoral scene! (The book is set in Auckland, NZ)

EDIT: I was asked about release date - last week in May is the current plan, so not that far off!

Just a taste...

Just got an email through with the first cover draft for T43 - I can't show y'all till its finalised, but mmm mmm m! It's all in sepia tones, with this pastoral scene blended with a lovely, lovely man (or two) wearing not a lot except some skin.

I can't wait till I get the finals in so I can post it - I really have been having a good run with the cover gods!

Sunday sex

It's always the best kind, but I digress.

I was out hunting some eye candy, as you do (it's all in the name of research, I swear) and found this little blog and this pic. (Is that a drool worthy blog or what - don't think that baby's not going on my rssfeed list! You make thank me later chickies!)

Now this rather tasty piece of man flesh is of Hispanic origins, not Indian, but this was very much what I was imagining in my head when I was writing about Jay in Red Skirt, Cool Fountain (the short story that's now going to be a novel).

And this is definitely a player for one of the McCabe boys - Brian maybe, but this guy still has a bit of a babyface, so I think he might be better suited for baby brother Michael - Sean is way more worldweary than this face.

OH MY GIDDY AUNT... I dropped my jelly bellies...

sexy men

There is no way I can top that -- well I could damn well try, but I have a funny feling those boys would have any lover strapped to that gogeous bed in two seconds flat, and I think I could very easily live with that!

And to think the whole twin menage thing has always been a little icky for me (mainly because I like the guys in my menages to be getting it on, baby!) -- photo's like this have me re-thinking!

Whose a clever chicky?

Ages upon ages ago, EREC asked for folks to submit some ideas for their website logo. I like to tinker with all things graphic (I really need to suck it up and go back to school to learn how to do all this shit properly) so I said that I would do something to add to the pile.

Well, that was like two months ago, and it took me till today to get my shit together. I'm sure they've more than decided by now but I had some new things to fiddle with, so why not make a logo:

What do you think?

I can't wait till I get my next cover art. I need to make some new banners and ads and I'm looking forward to hours hunched over my keyboard (like I don't do that everyday!) getting creative.

Which reminds me, it's way past time to change my website header, but I haven't been able to get to my little studio set up, but I do have my next piece of kitsch ready to go.

Banner or blog header image anyone? I'll work for OTT gushing fangurl reviews of my upcoming book...
