New Sale

Now that I've got the papers in hand, I can tell you that I've sold a short story titled Curious Intimacies to Ellora's Cave for their Exotika line!

No idea on dates or any of that sort of thing yet (hey, I'm still wading through the paperwork since EC is a new publisher to me), but once I do, I'll let y'all know!

New Reviews:

Two Lips Reviews:

Anne Douglas has written an extremely sensual story full of characters who are flawed enough to be real, while building a beautifully erotic romantic tale. Red Skirt, Cool Fountain is an incredibly erotic and emotional story that highlights how finding that “perfect” someone is more about finding someone who complements perfectly without needing to be perfect.

Ian is a fun-loving man who succeeds while having fun and approaches everything in life with a sunny attitude. Meanwhile, Sanjay is the brooder and thinker who succeeds by effort and drive, leaving very little if any energy left for the enjoyment of life’s successes. Sam, on the other hand, seems to be much more like Ian in her approach to life, but as she is revealed through her interactions with the men, she is shown to be a perceptive woman who is not as impulsive as she seems.

When Ian, Sanjay and Sam come together they will set you on fire as they steam up the pages – especially when Sam becomes the catalyst for the men to acknowledge their feelings for one another. Anne Douglas has outdone herself in writing Red Skirt, Cool Fountain by creating characters who will turn you on as they melt your heart! Red Skirt, Cool Fountain is a must-have for every ménage lover’s library, and Anne Douglas should be added to the list of authors to watch!

RRTErotic:
RED SKIRT, COOL FOUNTAIN may be an interesting title for a story, but it is actually perfect because of what Sam is wearing the first time she is noticed by Ian and Sanjay and how they are first introduced to her. I found Sanjay and Ian's friendship to be very special and also very real. These two men are very close and there is no jealousy between them, especially when Sam, the woman of their dreams, enters the picture.

Anne Douglas has written a very nice yet sexy romance between the two friends and the woman that makes their bond even stronger. Sanjay and Ian are total opposites of each other, but still they are so in tune. I also liked Sanjay's sister Mila who is the voice of reason and understanding when it comes to these two men and their needs. If you like an emotional yet erotic and unconventional love story, I recommend RED SKIRT, COOL FOUNTAIN. You may find yourself looking for your own fountain to cool off in after you finish reading.

JERR:
Par 3 is Ms. Douglas's first entry in her new series. A wonderful and loving novella, I had great pleasure in reading it. Emma was distraught about Aaron and he was concerned about her. They had amazing and erotic sex...make sure that you have a partner or a toy available because you will need it. Silas was an additional primary character who helped Emma and Aaron with their issues. His sexual activities were equally amazing. I do suggest that readers who object to mild BDSM not read Par 3. Emma was my favorite character; she was a wonderful, loving woman who had always known that she and Aaron needed the intimacy that they seemed to have lost. Aaron and Silas were very true to life-men who didn't understand women! The plot was perfectly written as were all Ms. Douglas's books. Why are you here? Go buy this story!

New Release: Par 3

Woohoo - the first of the Husbands and Wives series releases today! My contribution, Par 3 is first up. Here are the details:

Series: Husbands & Wives
Genre: Full-figured Heroine, Ménage
Length: Novella

Three friends, two problems, and a sexually outrageous suggestion that might fix everything.

After twenty years of marriage has Emma Howell's happy-ever-after finally come to an end? As she reaches the mid-point in her life, she wishes she still had the intimacy and closeness she sees in her friends’ marriages.

Her kids are gone. Her husband works later than ever, and he's never home early, which leaves her even lonelier. And then there's the sex they don't have. Do those late nights involve another woman? Is Aaron about to trade her in for a newer, younger model?

Aaron Howell is certain his wonderfully curvy, intelligent and sexy wife is considering having an affair. They haven't had sex for months, and his worries about his marriage failing have grown so big even his golf game's affected.

Their friend Silas Worth is finally finding his feet after losing his wife, Joan, to cancer -- although he's not yet ready for another relationship. Pity no one told his libido that. Might his and Joan's explorations into the swinging scene provide the answer for all three of them?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, Bondage (mild), Masturbation, Ménage (m/f/m), Spanking, Voyeurism.

Seriously? I worked all of the things on the warning label in? Well, damn!

But what about the use of household appliance for sexual excitement? I don't want no Washing Machine Union on my back because I didn't warn anyone that hot, hawt sex on a wonky washing machine is oh so satisfying!

Here's the excerpt link.

What a week!

Jerr Gold StarOh wow!

Issue #118 of JERR just landed in my inbox today, and I tried very hard not to skip through to see if they'd reviewed Red Skirt, but I got to about G and couldn't help myself. A GOLD star review!! Hot damn, bay-be!

JERR don't hand out too many gold stars, sometimes they will go months without one, other times there'll be one or two for a few issues, but seriously they're pretty rare!

Go here to read the whole thing.

To go with that, earlier in the week I found out Accidentally Were? was a Joyfully Reviewed Recommended Read.rr-pinkbutton.gif

And on Tuesday Husbands and Wives & Lovers: Par 3 releases. A busy, busy few days!

Seriously, this week started with a total punch to the gut (death of a good friend), followed by a series of highs, that on any other week would have had me higher than a kite and shouting everyone a beer. Instead, I'm going to feel quietly pleased to have done so well and be grateful for my health, success and the good friends I have to share it with, while remembering those who have passed on.

New Release: Red Skirt, Cool Fountain

Released today (okay, well technically tomorrow, but hey, the website's already live!)

Title: Red Skirt, Cool Fountain
ISBN: 978-1-59632-619-4

Genre: Full-figured Heroine, Multicultural Polyamorous
Length: Novella

Sanjay Chandra and Ian Morris are flipsides of the same coin -- Sanjay, the dark and brooding voyeur, while Ian is the lighthearted, fun Casanova. But neither one is quite what they appear. One is cold and aloof, a product of his hands-off, must strive for excellence childhood, while the other is cynical and jaded by his family's fast, wastrel ways. As the saying goes: money can't buy you love.

A bright spark of red, viewed from the window of their fifth floor office, draws their attention to a woman who lets loose of the humid lethargy the stifling summer has pressed on them. She sparkles like the cool water in the fountain she wistfully dangles her fingers into.

Sam is everything they are not -- carefree, living life to the fullest, full of laughter and light.

They both want her, so they decide to have her. But Ian and Sanjay risk more than their conventionality by courting Sam. They hazard their very sense of self when they must confront what each man means to the other.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, homoerotic sexual situations (male/male), masturbation, ménage (m/f/m and m/m/f), voyeurism.

Wow, that's more content warning than I've had before, I think! Make sure to get a copy for some hawt, sexy, first time man loving while a certain young lady looks on!

Review

Accidentally Were? was a funny, erotic and fascinating book. It has everything that I look for in a great book-love, sex, humor, sex and adventure. Pearl (Miss Priss) and Rex (Mr. Proudly Plaid) were extremely well-written character who could easily have been my neighbors-if Weres existed. Ms. Douglas had a wonderful grasp on her craft and allowed me to suspend disbelief. Rex had planned to be a bachelor, but as soon as he and Pearl first made love, I knew that he was doomed. I strongly suggest that you have a toy or a partner when you read this book -- you will need one. I would have loved to have been there and watched them. There were secondary characters who fit into the plot and helped move it along. I could not stop reading from the moment that I started. Enjoyable does not begin to describe Accidentally Were? Ms. Douglas is one of my newest favorite authors. Relatively new, she has an amazing voice. More, please, Ms. Douglas!

Overall rating:
Sensuality rating: Explicit

Red Skirt, Cool Fountain...

Pretty, no?

The release date for Red Skirt is really not all that far off - January 15th. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told the date would come forward rather than be put back to make way for my story that leads off the Husbands and Wives series.

As you can tell by my previous releases, ménage happens to be a favourite of mine, but this one is a little different than Persuading Jo or Tea for Three. Red skirt is quite a voyage of discovery where Ian and Sanjay discover that it's not just Sam(antha) they need, but that they need to confront what each feels for the other, and decide if they will act on what they find out about themselves.

So, unlike Tea for Three, where a committed same sex bi couple introduce a third who is female to their relationship, in Red Skirt, Cool Fountain the polyamorous grouping allows the heretofore strictly hetero men to explore the sexual feelings they have for one another.

Those first man to man touches, and that first time for actual penetrative sex...oooh boy! Hot, hot, hawt!!

Here's the blurb:

Accidentally Were? - Available Now!

ad_accidentallywere_coverlg.jpgISBN: 978-1-59632-575-3
Cover Artist: Anne Cain
Erotic Paranormal BBW Romantic Comedy

Available now at Loose Id!

With Murphy’s Law, Magic, and Fate working together, Pearl and Rex don’t stand a chance. When Miss. Priss in pearls meets Mr. Proudly Plaid in flannel, there‘ll be more flying than just blue sparks and fur.

Pearl Gordon wakes up after her first ever one-night-stand to an empty bed, a plethora of love bites, and every stray canine in town serenading her bedroom window? Something’s not right -- neither the dogs, nor the strange canine tooth marks in the middle of all the hickeys she now wears around her neck.

When her pal Shaun can’t come up with any better excuse than she was bitten by a werewolf — seriously, as if! — Shaun suggests Pearl double check with her neighbour, Rex Dixon. After all the handsome, burly, bear of a man might be practicing as a vet, but he also trained as a GP.

Angry that a Were in heat was so stupid as to sit herself down in the middle of his waiting room, Rex reacts. Only there’s a few things he doesn’t know about Pearl, and it seems Magic is about to poke a pin in the side of his confirmed bachelor balloon. There’s a prophecy to fulfil and Fate’s out hunting, and she’s loaded for Were-Bear.

A new sideline

A while back I made the comment that Rhian was attempting to make a graphic artist out of me. Well, further to that I offered my services to Amanda Young when she was looking to have some banners made, and I have to say they turned out pretty damn nice if I do say so myself!

So, I've decided on a new little sideline designing banners and online ads. You can check out my rates and some examples here.

Don't be afraid, the costs aren't outrageous :)

So many ideas, not enough time

Or at least not enough patience to sit and get them done with out letting my add tendencies get the better of me and start blog surfing.

I've had a couple of ideas on the back burner, yet I looked up a couple of outlines I'd done ages ago and wondered WhyTF I haven't done anything with them? They are good ... but I can't seem to work too well on multiple WIP. WIP and edits are not a problem, but I'm failing at having 2-3 WIP going at the same time.

So at the moment I have this great dark menage story that I really have to sit down and start editing - its going from short story length to novella/novel length. Great twisty stuff where it starts off as a mfm menage but ends up as a mmf menage, tortured type hero, whimsical heroine, hero with the wastrel family. As it stands its a mfm, so I've got lots of work to do.

Then I've always had a plan to follow up AW with another story, one where the pack alpha, gets together with the much younger goth chick. How bad is this: I emailed my editor, who snapped up AW quick, to see if she'd like to see a second story land on her eDesk. Can you tell I'm procrastinating on that editing? To RS,CF's detriment she didn't poo-poo the idea. Bugger. Turns out that its not just Rob and Shauns story, but lookie here theres a studly vampire by the name of Jakov Peter (I resisted I didn't call him Peter Jakov!), hmmm ... and 850 words into my first scene a ghost called Gertruda has just popped up - I think I could really have fun with this story.

Then I have this trio of stories about eBay, and a story of a pair of peeping toms (which might work for the Brava contest if I pull finger), and ... too damn many idea's I tell you!

The Pink Chair Diaries

Could you write a story involving this? :
Well, that's what Celia Kyle asked a bunch of us to do. As you can tell by the big group of zero's in the Sweat70 box on the side, I didn't do a hellava lot last week. But I did think about it and yesterday I knocked out the first 3200, and finished off with another 500 or so this morning to get my contribution finished. So if your looking for a 15 min read head over to The Pink Chair Diaries, and take a look.
